The Summit is the combination of great design, numerous standard features, outstanding price, innovative features and superior laminated aluminum frame sidewall construction. The Summit was developed with the customer in mind.
All Summit models feature revolutionary new construction techniques. The aluminum frame laminated sidewalls with smooth fiberglass exterior are more attractive and dent resistant than other types of wall construction. In addition the sheer strength of the walls is greater than non-laminated walls. It is uncommon to find laminated construction in trailers at this price. Automotive type rubber gasket seals are used around windows and high strength adhesive sealant is used in other locations to prevent unsightly putty streaks and sidewall leaks. Special aluminum fastening brackets replace the older style wood cleats which can split and weaken.
Considerable thought was put into the design of the Summit and examples are throughout. Storage is critical in a trailer and Summit is designed to maximum storage space. For example, water tanks are located under the floor to free up storage space and lower the center of gravity. Most models include jumbo pass through storage in the front of the coach-great for larger items such as canopies, lawn chairs and barbeques. Cabinets are larger than usual and overhead cabinets opening upwards include piston lifters for one handed operation. Durable raised panel hardwood cabinet doors with attractive maple finish are used throughout. To provide additional storage space in lower cabinets, heating ducts are relocated into the floor structure.
