The deck, which is accessible via residential stairs from inside the motorhome, lets you enjoy entertaining, tailgating, sporting events and other outdoor activities. The SkyDeck patio only adds ten inches of height to a standard coach, allowing the Airstream motorhome to retain a low profile.

The Airstream SkyDeck is unique in form and concept. As the only motor coach to expand its living capacity to include a full sized roof patio, the SkyDeck harnesses the last remaining frontier in available living space in a motorhome. Much like the slide-out revolutionized the industry throughout the 1990's by providing customers with more available living area, the SkyDeck almost doubles the square footage of a motor coach.


The roof patio is accessed via an internal hardwood staircase, and is safely enclosed within perimeter railing and a fiberglass "streamliner" that gives the coach a sleek look, belying the presence of the strong, roof superstructure. The Airstream SkyDeck is built upon the famous, and rock-solid Freightliner XC Chassis, providing customers with unparalleled performance and convenient service. Its 330 HP Caterpillar diesel engine provides 860 ft.-lbs. of torque, and the power and performance customers demand.


As one leaves the spacious and elegant living salon and galley on the main floor of the SkyDeck, the generously sized staircase provides safe and comfortable access to the roof. Other RV roof platform add-ons only provide access via temporary, rickety and awkward ladders - never a safe proposition. And the platforms are small, with no available seating. The SkyDeck’s marine-grade weatherproof rooftop furniture is simply opened in about 30 seconds by pressing two switches, engaging hydraulic actuaters that transpose the roof from a streamlined traveler to a spacious and accommodating rooftop oasis. There's seating for at least 15 friends and family members, or for elegant corporate client hospitality. It's plenty strong to accommodate many more, having been engineered by Airstream to withstand a great load. Once on the roof patio, campers can enjoy the SkyDeck's available gas barbeque grill, sun lounge, CD entertainment center, umbrella-shades, and wet bar. And when they're done, the SkyDeck conveniently retracts within seconds from inside the coach.
